Inma Vila Solfire
Inma was first introduced to tattooing at the age of 16. A self-trained fine artist originally from Spain, she left the comforts of home early to learn and improve her craft. Although tattooing has been her favoured medium for the past 21 years, making time to continue her painting practice and collaborate with other fine artists has been key to keeping her creativity flowing. In recent years, her unique artworks have been featured in several books, as well as a number of collective exhibitions.
Inma is an artist in every sense of the word, bringing a keen eye for colour palates and traditional techniques which she combines to great effect in her gorgeous and distinctive style. Inspired by all aspects of nature as well as world mythology, she is known for her incredible bird and botanical pieces, while also creating playful and surreal original designs. Primarily working on a larger scale, her pieces always incorporate beautiful movement and flow, working with the body to transform it into a work of art.
Inma is an absolute light- her soft kindness and warm manner, careful care of her clients, and focus and dedication to her craft have earned her a stellar reputation within the tattoo community. Over the years Inma has been honoured to periodically work at world-class shops such as Henning Jorgensen’s Royal Tattoo (Denmark), Adrian Lee’s Analog Tattoo (San Jose), Mike Davis’ Everlasting Tattoo (San Francisco), Richie Clarke’s Forever True Tattoo (Liverpool), Rhys Gordon’s Little Tokyo (Sydney), Phil Kyle’s Magnum Opus (Brighton) and Mo Coppoleta’s The Family Business (London). She is currently a part-time artist with Brighton Tattoo Collective and a resident artist at Red Point Tattoo in London.
